NAMIBIA DEMOGRAPHIC AND HEALTH SURVEY 2000 (NDHS 2000)

The 2000 Namibia DHS Preliminary Report has been completed and is available to download.  Copies of the printed report are difficult to obtain, so users who would like to see the preliminary data should consider downloading and printing their own copy.

The 44 page report is dated September 2001, but its distribution has been delayed until recently.  Organized into 4 chapters, the report includes 23 Tables and 11 Figures.

Most findings include the variables shown by a standard set of Background Characteristics - Age in eight groups, Residence as Urban or Rural, the 13 Regions, the (former) MoHSS Regional Directorate, largely to make comparisons possible with the 1992 Namibia DHS, and Education status in five categories.

The final report of the 2000 Namibia DHS is expected to be published later in 2002.
