HIV/AIDS Impact Modeling Files
IMPORTANT NOTICE! If you downloaded files from this site between 2-4 October as NAMAIDSYESNO210.ZIP (NOAIDS.PJN/.AIM/.DP4 and WITHAIDS.PJN/.AIM/.DP4) DO NOT USE THEM. They are NOT NAMIBIA DATA. Please delete those files from the SPECTRUM/DATA subdirectory and use the files in the NAMAIDSYESNO510.ZIP which you can download load using the link below.
Participants in the Namibia HIV/AIDS Impact modeling exercise and other interested parties may want the data files that were developed during the National HIV/AIDS Impact Consensus-Building Workshop held in mid-September, 2000 for use in the SPECTRUM programme in order to reproduce the analysis for themselves and/or to develop and project additional scenarios.

The SPECTRUM programme must be installed in order to use these files. SPECTRUM is available for download from its developers, The Futures Group International. The SPECTRUM download is approximately 2.1 Mb.

After SPECTRUM has been installed and configured, to run the Namibia With AIDS and Without AIDS projections that were developed during the mid-September 2000 National Consensus Workshop, the six files included in the NAMAIDSYESNO510.ZIP must be copied into the SPECTRUM/DATA subdirectory. NOTE: You will need an Unzipping programme such as WinZIP to uncompress these files before you can use them.

NOAIDS1.PJN, NOAIDS1.AIM, NOAIDS1.DP4 are the data files for the projections that assume no AIDS epidemic.

YESAIDS1.PJN, YESAIDS1.AIM, YESAIDS1.DP4 are the data files for the projections that include the assumptions agreed upon at the September workshop.
